Solo Werks Brings More Value to the S1 Coilover System

Solo-Werks is excited to announce the third revision to several applications of our S1 coilover systems, bringing a new level of performance, durability, and ease of use to some of VAG’s most popular platforms.

Built with the latest industry technology at our newly finished production facility, this updated system introduces significant engineering advancements over the previous system, delivering improved adjustability, enhanced ride quality, and long-term reliability all while maintaining Solo-Werks’ commitment to accessible performance.

Next-Generation Engineering

At the core of the new R3 updates is Solo-Werks’ redesigned shock housing, featuring an industry-leading TR52x3 trapezoidal (“D-shaped”) thread profile. This replaces the traditional V-shaped thread design used in earlier systems and brings meaningful improvements for both performance and usability.

Key features include:

  • D-shaped trapezoidal thread design: Smoother, more precise ride height adjustments

  • Improved durability: Higher axial load capacity for increased strength under stress

  • Debris resistance: Reduced risk of thread binding from dirt and road grime

  • Single aluminum spring perch with set screw: Added security to maintain exact ride height settings

These updates make adjustments easier, more reliable, and more consistent over time—especially in real-world conditions.

• S1VW001 (MK1 kits): Now include front adjustable camber bolts offering up to ±1.75° of adjustment.
• MK4 systems: Now equipped with proven R32 spring rates and refined damping curves for better handling and composure.
